Olivier Cuisenaire is Professor at the University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland in Yverdon since 2014.
He received his PhD in Image Processing in 1999 and his Master in Electrical Engineering in 1995, both from the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL) in Belgium. From 2000 to 2006 he worked at EPFL with Prof. M. Kunt and Prof. J.-Ph. Thiran as first assistant, focusing his research on medical image analysis. In 2006 he moved to Paris to work for Philips Healthcare research and development, contributing to several packages of the CT visualization software (advanced vessel analysis, tumor segmentation, liver, ...) as well as developing interactive segmentation tools for all imaging modalities. In 2012, he joined the Medical Image Analysis group at UNIL/CHUV, working in collaboration with Bracco on contrast enhanced ultrasound.
